AI Cold Email Personalizer That Writes Specific Outreach Without the Usual AI Fluff

Built by ApexMatrix ·

About this build

A simple AI workflow that takes a prospect's name, role, company, a specific thing they recently did or posted, and your outreach goal, then creates a short personalized cold email that actually starts with the relevant observation instead of generic AI-generated compliments.

What was built

I built this after getting tired of testing AI email tools that technically produce "personalized" emails but somehow all sound exactly the same. The workflow takes a few pieces of information: Recipient name Job title Company One specific thing you noticed about them Your goal for the email Preferred tone It then generates a short cold email that starts with the specific observation rather than something like "I came across your company and was really impressed." I also added a banned-phrases section because there are certain words that immediately make an email feel AI-generated. Things like "synergy," "touch base," "circle back," and "leverage" are automatically avoided. The prompt also forces the email to stay under 120 words and keeps the CTA simple. No three-paragraph explanation of why the sender is amazing. No fake personalization. No unnecessary buzzwords. I've been testing different versions against my previous templated outreach, and the biggest difference I've noticed is that the emails are much easier to edit before sending. Instead of rewriting an entire AI-generated email, I usually just change a sentence or two. I'm still working on adding a research step that can automatically find a recent public post, product launch, interview, or company update and use that as the opening observation. If anyone wants to test the prompt, I'm happy to share the full version and would especially like feedback on whether the emails actually sound human or if there are still obvious AI patterns I'm missing.
