Open router gets acquired by Stripe for $7B+

Personally I don’t see why and how openrouter is worth that much. Feels like a scam for being bought out by that much. I also don’t know why Stripe a payment processor wants to buy an Ai router one could vibe code in a week.

Hey Bro, People don’t buy tech. They buy an audience.

stripe isn't buying a model router, it's buying the billing meter for agent traffic. whoever sits between agents and models sees exactly who uses what, how much, and what they'll pay that's the same position stripe already owns for payments. the $7B starts making sense if you assume agents become the main API customer
