What AI tool actually stayed in your workflow after the hype wore off?

By Aquaman · · 3 replies

I’ve tried a lot of AI tools over the last year, but most of them end up being “cool for 10 minutes” and then never opened again. The only ones I think are actually valuable are the ones that save real time every week, not just generate flashy output once. For me, the most useful tools are usually the boring ones: writing/rewrite help summarising messy notes turning rough ideas into clean steps workflow/automation support quick research without opening 20 tabs Curious what tool genuinely stayed in your workflow long-term. Not the most impressive one, i mean the one you actually still use.

Honestly, the AI tools that stuck are the boring ones. Summarizing documents, rewriting text, and helping me plan tasks save me far more time than any flashy image or video generator ever did.

Cool

honestly the best ai tool that stayed in my workflow after the hype wore off it 'chatgpt', honestly chatgpt is one of the best ai tools i have ever used , i have compared it against claude , gemini , etc and honestly chatgpt beats all of them by mile stones and i mean mile stones like miles!

Probably ChatGPT, honestly. Not because it’s the flashiest, but because it’s the one I keep coming back to for actual day-to-day stuff for rewriting rough text, summarising things fast, brainstorming, and cleaning up ideas when my head’s messy. Most other AI tools I’ve tried felt impressive for a week, then just turned into bookmarks I never opened again. The ones that stay are the ones that remove friction.
