Unpopular opinion — most people using AI are still doing it completely wrong

Going to say something that might ruffle a few feathers but I genuinely believe it.The majority of people using AI tools right now are essentially using a Ferrari to go to the corner shop. They are getting basic answers to basic questions and then complaining that AI is overrated. The real power is not in asking it to write your emails or summarise an article. It is in using it as a thinking partner. Giving it context, pushing back on its answers, asking it to challenge your assumptions, using it to stress test ideas before you commit to them.I have had conversations with AI that have completely changed how I thought about a problem. Not because it gave me a magic answer but because the process of explaining the problem clearly enough for AI to understand forced me to think about it differently. Most people skip that step entirely and wonder why they are not getting value.Am I wrong or does this resonate with anyone else?

Cool

ery week there is a “new best AI tool” and honestly I cannot even keep up anymore. One app writes emails, another makes videos, another builds websites, another replaces meetings 😅At this point I think the real skill is not learning every AI tool — it is learning which few actually improve your daily life or work.Right now I mostly stick to:ChatGPT for thinking/writingClaude for long documentsPerplexity for researchTrying to keep it simple honestly works better for me.What tools are people actually using consistently and not just testing once then forgetting about?
