Be honest, how much of your day to day work could AI actually replace right now

Not in 5 years. Not when AGI arrives. Right now today with the tools that already exist.

I have been doing an honest audit of my own work this week and the answer made me a bit uncomfortable. A lot of what I do day to day is research, writing, organising information and communicating. And AI is already pretty decent at all of those things.

Not perfect. Not always right. But decent enough that the question of how much value I am personally adding versus how much I am just the human in the loop has been sitting in the back of my mind more than I would like to admit. I am not panicking about it. But I do think most people are not being honest with themselves about this because it is an uncomfortable thing to sit with.

So genuinely if you stripped out the tasks AI could handle today, what would actually be left of your working week? Is it more or less than you expected?
