People need to stop building features nobody asked for. PLEASE.

I'm not saying don't innovate. I'm saying stop adding random stuff because you got bored on a Tuesday afternoon. I review a lot of SaaS products.

A LOT. And one pattern keeps showing up over and over and over and over again. Founder launches product. Gets first users. Users ask for one thing. Founder builds seventeen completely different things instead.

Like...

Customer asks:

"Can you add dark mode?"

Founder replies:

"Sure. We also added AI workflows, blockchain integration, team collaboration, smart notifications, sentiment analysis and an NFT badge system."

BRO. WHAT. The. HELL. Happened.

Some of you are treating your products like a Steam Summer Sale. Just throwing features everywhere and hoping something sticks. The funny thing? Most users don't want MORE. They want BETTER. Faster loading. Less bugs. Clearer onboarding. A button that actually works.

That's it.

You know how many times I've heard someone say: "I wish this app had 47 more settings menus"?

Exactly. ZERO.

But I've heard: "This is confusing." "This is slow." "I don't know what this does."

About a thousand times.

And don't even get me started on feature pages.

You scroll down and see:

✅ AI Assistant ✅ AI Copilot ✅ AI Agent ✅ AI Automation ✅ AI Intelligence ✅ AI Insights

At that point I'm not even sure what the product does anymore. I feel like I'm reading a restaurant menu where every dish is chicken.

Another thing. STOP building for imaginary users.

Some founders spend months solving problems that only exist inside their own heads.

No customers. No interviews. No validation. Just vibes.

Then they launch and wonder why nobody signs up.

Because nobody was waiting for it. Look, adding features feels productive. Fixing onboarding is boring. Improving copy is boring. Reducing friction is boring. Talking to customers is boring. But that's usually where the money is.

The graveyard of SaaS is filled with products that had too many features and not enough users.

Anyway.

Just my little founder rant for the day. Now excuse me while I ignore my own advice and spend three hours tweaking a dashboard nobody asked for.

Peace ✌️

I'm gearing up to launch my website, once it's all configured and tidy, and it has nothing to do with AI. No text written by AI.It's digital products, created by me, by myself. I don't want to out the niche, but it's not cute, they're functional products. But essential.......Should I shout out to that? That it's NOT AI? Is that a good marketing point?
