I'm really sick of all the software update prompts, nags to login, and forced changes in the Samsung colossus. I'm sure many others are the same...but all I want is a TV that will let me access my streaming apps without all those "Wonderful", "Best Ever", "Beautiful" Bells and whistles...

Totally agree. A TV should just turn on, open apps, and play content without constant popups, forced accounts, “smart” features, or marketing nags. The basics have become buried under updates and bloat. Sometimes the best smart TV would simply be one that stays out of the way.
