1 What meets your needs might not meet my needs.2 I might be too dumb/stubborn/inflexible/cheap to change to a system that would better meet my needs.
Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed that no two companies seem to handle documents the same way.
Some teams rely heavily on shared drives, others use cloud platforms, and some still have a mix of old and new systems stitched together. The result is usually the same: people spend more time looking for documents, tracking changes, or waiting for approvals than they'd like.
What's strange is that documents are at the center of so many business processes. Whether it's contracts, reports, spreadsheets, or internal documentation, almost everything depends on people being able to access and collaborate on information efficiently.
Yet despite all the advances in technology, document workflows still seem to be a source of confusion and inefficiency for a lot of organizations.
Is this something you've experienced as well, or has your team found a workflow that genuinely works without creating extra headaches?
